A full circle moment. When I moved to LA at the age of 20 I had a goal to be in the music/sports industry. I worked in every space you can possibly imagine. As a kid in Virginia I fell in love with streetwear, especially due to my friend Sebastien Christie who loved The Hundreds so much that he got the infamous Hundreds Adam Bomb tattooed on his back.
Around the same time I meet Cezar Arvelo who had moved from NYC to Koreatown. Cez is an amazing Illustrator and Graphic Designer and I always knew we would do something together in the future. Cez would come to Koreatown Run Club every week and we quickly developed a close relationship as we planned out our lives together.
I soon ran into Kellen Roland by luck who in my early years opened the doors to an industry that welcomed me with open arms. At the lowest point of my life, my dear friend Matt Maraia got me out of the pits of hell and somehow linked me with a job opportunity at The Hundreds warehouse. I remember it like yesterday — David Rivera was one of the first people I met and who always made a point to come check on me everyday. I am grateful to look back on those special moments of my life and take the time now to understand and cherish the relationships I was able to gain along the way.
I am so excited to share with you all this special collaboration with The Hundreds. From Sebastien showing me the brand, to Matt getting me a job with them, to David giving me the opportunity to work together, and Cezar for designing our collaboration, it’s truly a beautiful moment.
To Bobby and Ben, thank you for giving a kid from Virginia the chance to dream big.
To David, love you so much and I can’t believe we get to do this together almost 11 years later.
